This visa is the permanent stage of the Skilled Regional Provisional visa Subclass 489. You will be eligible for the subclass 887 once you have lived for at least two years and worked for at least one year in a specified regional Australia. You must be in Australia when you apply for this visa and when the visa is granted. It does not require you to be sponsored by an Australian relative or nominated by a state or territory government.
